PermitCS™ is a fully automated oversize/overweight (OS/OW) truck permitting system developed by Cambridge Systematics. PermitCS was developed on the premise that, while state and provincial agencies may have different requirements in terms of vehicle routing and bridge analysis, they share a common need to streamline and improve the accuracy of the permitting function. PermitCS enables a truck permitting agency to evaluate more applications with a higher level of accuracy.   In Tennessee, approximately 500,000 applications have been issued through the system. The Tennessee DOT PermitCS is available 24 x 7 and has reduced average turnaround times to about one hour.
