Keir Opie recently joined Cambridge Systematics as a Senior Associate in our New York office. Mr. Opie brings 12 years of experience as an expert in transportation modeling, including simulation modeling, travel demand modeling and forecasting, traffic operations, intelligent transportation systems (ITS), freight modeling, and geographic information systems (GIS). Mr. Opie will play a key role in our national transportation simulation practice, assisting with work in the New York Metropolitan Region and across the country.
Prior to joining Cambridge Systematics, Mr. Opie served as the Manager of Transportation Simulation and Modeling at the International Intermodal Transportation Center (IITC) of the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), and as an Adjunct Professor in the Interdisciplinary Transportation Program at NJIT. Mr. Opie has also worked for Stump/Hausman Partnership and Urbitran Associates.
Mr. Opie received Master’s of Transportation degree from NJIT, and an Honors Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Civil Engineering from University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. Mr. Opie is a Accredited Paramics Trainer (APT).
