Cambridge Systematics Opens Los Angeles Office (July 6, 2009)
Cambridge Systematics, Inc. proudly announces the opening of our new Los Angeles office, headed by Gill V. Hicks, Director of Southern California Operations. This is an exciting and long-anticipated step in our continued efforts to improve client service and provide an expanded range of offerings to transportation planning and operating agencies in this dynamic region.

Cambridge Systematics has for many years been active in Southern California, providing policy and technical support to a wide range of clients, including the California Department of Transportation, Southern California Association of Governments, Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority, the Ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles, Orange County Transportation Authority, Riverside County Transportation Commission, San Bernardino Associated Governments, and San Diego Association of Governments.
Mr. Hicks joined Cambridge Systematics in 2009 as a Senior Associate with more than 30 years of experience in transportation planning, policy, and finance; freight logistics and goods movement; and port planning and operations. Mr. Hicks will lead the ongoing expansion of Cambridge Systematics’ services for clients in the Southern California region, and will work with clients across the nation on a variety of freight planning and policy issues. Mr. Hicks received a Master’s degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
