We are seeking an experienced Economist with a minimum of a Master's degree in Economics and 5 plus years of experience in transportation economics to join Cambridge Systematics, Inc.’s established and rapidly growing national team of economists recognized for innovative work in transportation economics and policy. The successful candidate will oversee and conduct studies related to regional economics and economic development, transportation policy, land use analysis, financial analysis, and related areas. The ideal candidate will also participate in economic-related business development activities including the preparation of proposals and technical approaches. The candidate should have enthusiasm for applied economics and desire to work in a team-oriented environment, as well helping develop the technical capabilities of other staff. The ideal candidate has demonstrated academic performance (advanced degree) in economics or related field, as well as relevant experience leading economic analyses (optimally in transportation planning) within a consulting environment. Strong project management, analytic, writing, and communication skills are also a must.

IT Support Analyst – Cambridge, MA (job code ISG000199)

We are seeking IT Support Analyst who will be responsible for monitoring the helpdesk system and delivering high-quality remote and deskside support to Cambridge Systematics staff. Typical day-to-day duties include software and hardware troubleshooting and diagnostics; researching and responding to user questions, remotely, in person, and via the departments helpdesk software; computer equipment moves and upgrades; configuration and setup of desktops, laptops, and workstations; installation and configuration of a variety of software products such as Microsoft Office, Project, Visio, etc.; creating and updating knowledgebase articles for end users and the IT department; assisting network and systems administrators with occasional upgrades and modifications to IT infrastructure; and monitoring and tracking all computer assets, including administering a laptop and projector loaner program.

Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree; two to three years of helpdesk or desktop support experience in a corporate environment, providing remote and in-person support using a helpdesk ticketing system; ability to work independently and as a part of a team; excellent organizational, communication (both written and verbal), and interpersonal skills; proficiency with Windows XP/Vista and Windows Server 2003; basic understanding of TCP/IP, networking, and delivering support to remote employees; experience with deploying computers using Symantec Ghost; customer service experience and organizational skills with an emphasis on follow-through and attention to detail are a must. The ideal candidate will have a proactive attitude and be able to work on projects and tasks with limited supervision. Project experience is highly desired.

Network Administrator – Cambridge, MA (job code ISG000194)

We are seeking Network Administrator who will be responsible for the design, management, and maintenance of CS' network infrastructure and telephony systems. The position focuses on the management of hardware such as routers, switches, and firewalls; application layer protocols such as DNS and DHCP; WAN and Internet connectivity; and TCP/IP routing. The Network Administrator also oversees corporate telephony including traditional and IP-based PBXs. Senior Policy Planner – Washington, DC (job code TPM000181)

We are seeking a nationally recognized senior-level planner with experience working with the Federal Highway Administration and other national entities. Knowledge of and relationships with FHWA, specifically the Planning and Policy offices are necessary. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Federal role in transportation planning and policy making, preferably with experience in economics, finance, environment/energy, public-private partnerships, intermodal issues, and the transportation planning process at the Federal, state, and MPO levels.
