Cambridge Systematics Completes Landmark Rail Studies

Cambridge Systematics recently completed the National Rail Freight Infrastructure Capacity and Investment Study. This landmark study commissioned by the Association of American Railroads (AAR) at the request of the National Surface Transportation Policy and Revenue Study Commission assessed the long-term capacity expansion needs of the continental U.S. freight railroads. >> more

Cambridge Systematics Announces Formation of Freight Transportation Business Unit
June 26, 2008

In order to better serve its freight transportation clients, Cambridge Systematics recently formed a business unit focused exclusively on servicing its clients' freight transportation needs. This new business unit will draw on the firm's more than 35 years of leadership in the areas of freight transportation consulting, modeling, and technology solutions and integrates staff with freight expertise from across the firm and our offices across the United States. Additionally, we are pleased to announce two new Senior Associates within the Freight Transportation business unit: Andreas Aeppli has more than 20 years of freight transportation experience and will lead Cambridge Systematics’ work in the freight rail area. Mark Jensen has more than 20 years of experience, including management of large freight/technology demonstration projects for state, local, and Federal clients. >> more
