Cambridge Systematics is dedicated to working with our community neighbors. For nine years, our staff have worked with students from the Peabody Elementary School as volunteers for the NetPals project - an e-mail exchange program between students and adult mentors. For the past several years, Cambridge Systematics has asked our NetPal friends to submit designs for our yearly holiday card. We selected seven outstanding designs out of approximately 45 entries, and asked our staff to vote on their favorite design. This year, the winning artist was 11-year old Simone, a sixth grader at the Peabody Elementary School. Simone is an enthusiastic student who demonstrates positive leadership qualities. She speaks fluent Dutch and is in the process of writing her first nonfiction picture book related to her Dutch heritage.

Sustainability. In honor of our 35th anniversary, Cambridge Systematics began an initiative to conserve our natural resources and sustain our environment. In this spirit, we are working with The Conservation Fund and participating in its Carbon Sequestration Program, Go Zero^SM, to reduce carbon emissions and to offset emissions through reforestation projects. Cambridge Systematics also continues to aggressively pursue strategies put in place last year to reduce our carbon footprint, including reduced consumption of energy, paper and paper products, plastic and other consumables; use of more energy efficient transportation for commuting and work related travel; and extensive recycling.
