Responsibilities include overseeing the direct studies related to regional economics and economic development, transportation policy, land use analysis, financial analysis, and related areas. The ideal candidate will also lead economic-related business development activities, including the preparation of proposals and technical approaches. The candidate should have enthusiasm for applied economics and desire to work in a team-oriented environment, as well as interest in helping to develop the technical capabilities of other staff.

GIS Analyst – Oakland, CA (job code TDF000058)
We are seeking a professional will work with a growing team of GIS and travel demand modelers to provide GIS support for a variety of projects in the fields of GIS-T, travel demand forecasting, and transportation planning. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: mapping; geospatial and transportation network analysis; network editing and quality assurance; GIS data creation, conflation, transformation, and integration; and GIS scripting.
Requirements: Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree in geography, planning, civil engineering or any related field, or Bachelor’s degree with one or more years of relevant experience. The individual must be proficient and have practical working knowledge of ArcGIS, cartographic techniques, database development, database maintenance, and GIS automation using Modelbuilder and Python. Ability to create and maintain web sites using ArcIMS and ArcGIS Server is also highly desirable. The ideal candidate must have modeling experience using TransCAD and Cube and experience in Transportation. The ideal candidate must be highly organized, and be able to multitask and work with deadlines.
